About County Map Pro

County Map Pro is an independent geographic information website that helps readers explore U.S. counties through maps, location lookup tools, FIPS identifiers, county directories, and comparable public data.

Our goal is to make county-level information easier to find and understand, whether you want to identify a county from an address, examine its boundaries, compare two counties, or find an official geographic identifier.

What you can do here

  • Identify your county using a U.S. address or, with your permission, device location.
  • Look up county FIPS codes and explore county boundary maps.
  • Explore state directories and individual county profiles as they become available.
  • Compare county-level population, housing, and other published statistics.

Where our information comes from

Our geographic tools use public data and services from sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau and Census TIGERweb. Selected demographic measures use American Community Survey estimates, including data made available through Census Reporter.

Interactive maps may use OpenStreetMap base-map tiles. We describe important sources, measurement dates, and limitations on our Data & Methodology page.

How we handle accuracy

County boundaries, administrative definitions, and estimates may change over time. We distinguish geographic boundaries from demographic estimates, identify source vintages where practical, and avoid presenting estimates as exact counts.

These tools are for general research and educational use. For property boundaries, voting eligibility, taxes, emergency services, or legal decisions, consult the relevant county or government authority.

Independent publication

County Map Pro is not an official U.S. government website and is not affiliated with the U.S. Census Bureau or OpenStreetMap. References to third-party sources are provided for transparency, not to imply endorsement.
